Bongos Photography. Anybody ever wonder why is it called Bongos? It all started when I wore a t-shirt that I bought in Hong Kong meeting Marcus at Udders @ Serangoon Garden! I brought my 1st DSLR out and he said that we should get a name for it. In the end he said, "Bongos!" Immediately i look at my shirt and there we go, a few monkeys with the name Bongos! Then on, we all call it Bongos the monkey for my Nikon Camera. He is 1 person that i can call Friend. Clearly, friend is very different from classmates/colleague. Friend is someone who goes through shits with you, understands you and at least be there at some of the time when you're down. He is just that kind of guy we can really spent the day doing nothing and still enjoy! Feel really myself, the childish part of us will always remain there. Like how it was when we were still in school. Time really flies, when we were still staying back in school waiting for each other for lunch, waiting for another guy, Boo! Boo is always more busy in class than us, so he would join us later. Still we will try to have lunch almost everyday! We are in the same CCA and that is how we go to know each other. Times during our CCA activity really bond the 3 of us. Soon later we have another female leader in another CCA that turns out to be fine getting with us! Baam! There's 4 of us NOW! Thou Koh is always busy with her studies, we still do meet ups at times! For a meal, BBQ or anything. Somehow i feel that this might be fate? Well, we all turns out to be good friends i believe!
Sadly to say, as we graduated, we part to different paths, that drift us not much, because we still do come back to serve in our CCA, and many of a times i wonder, why am i here, back in the CCA? I don''t have a fix answer for that, but 1 of the main reason, i believe, is because both of them are there too. The 3 of us are in this together!
Regretful, time flies, i had gone chasing for my passion and have neglected them. A lot of times when we are busy striving for money/passion/interest, we tends to focus and gets narrow. Its just like a camera, as we zoom to get more focus on the subject, Aperture goes smaller. We tends to shut every other matters down. But the question is, when will be open up our Aperture priority? To our family? Our Friends? It takes me almost a year to realize that, I have been serious for way too long. Marcus would always say, "WHY SO SERIOUS?" Ahaha! To anyone who read this post, let us take some time and really compose ourselves. Life's very short, really short, lets make everything counts and cherish while it still last.
Lastly, Marcus Ee, This post is dedicated to you. Why so serious?! To Boo and Koh. We will meet up more often, and this time i mean it.
P/S: This picture was taken in BALI. It was a piece of wood and they carve it.
